ESI Purchases Retail Assets of VintalkJan 22, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Estech Systems (ESI) announced it has purchased the retail assets of Vintalk, including the Vintalk brand, from Vinculum Communications. According to a release, the transaction included the infrastructure, the established customer base associated with Vintalk's SIP trunking and hosted PBX solutions, and the transition of Vintalk retail division employees to ESI Hosted Services, LLC. "After an exhaustive and careful search which began in December, 2011, our purchase decision was based on the strategic fit that we found between Vintalk's solutions and ESI's product portfolio," said George Platt, President and Chief Operating Officer of ESI. "The purchase of this best-of-breed voice over IP (VoIP) network and full suite of IP and unified communications services puts ESI in the position to offer businesses Web-based VoIP calling technologies which are tightly integrated with the phone devices connected to them," added Platt. ESI said it has specialized in providing communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses through a network of over 600 independent Resellers for more than a quarter-century. In 1996, with the launch of the IVX product, ESI was noted as a company combining high-performance business phone system and voice mail in a processing platform. With the announcement, ESI has again shown its capacity to lead the industry by fully integrating hosted VoIP functionality with business telephones utilizing the service. The knowledge gained over the years and insights provided by the customers who have purchased over 500,000 telephone systems puts ESI in the position to combine VoIP hardware, hosted PBX solutions, SIP trunking services, and additional cloud-based services in ways that provide customers flexibility and productivity.
