Econsultancy Asia Pacific awarded "Partner of Labour Movement" by National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)

SINGAPORE, May 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Nominated by the NTUC U Associate, Econsultancy Asia Pacific has been conferred the "Partner of Labour Movement" award by National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) at the May Day Awards 2019 ceremony held on 3 May 2019. This annual event by the Labour Movement celebrates and honours the significant contributions of deserving union leaders, workers, government leaders and management partners to our workforce.

Together with 116 other award recipients, Econsultancy is pleased to be recognised for its outstanding contributions in making a difference to the lives of working people in Singapore, in a ceremony hosted by the NTUC President Ms Mary Liew and NTUC Secretary-General Mr Ng Chee Meng.

Cultivating Skills for the Future Economy
As a leading digital marketing training company, Econsultancy developed the Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing in 2018 to address the digital marketing skills gaps found from a survey of over 300 marketing professionals in Singapore, done in partnership with NTUC.

More than 100 professionals have gone through the Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing, supported by NTUC and NTUC's Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).

The programme also benefited 10 companies from NTUC's community of start-ups, as participants had the opportunity to work with these start-ups on capstone projects to solve their business challenges.

Engaging the Digital Marketing Community
Since joning the NTUC's U Associate programme in 2017, Econsultancy has advocated the progression of the digital marketing community in Singapore by co-organising numerous learning workshops and symposiums with NTUC. These events provided the marketing community with the latest digital trends updates and insights to help marketers do better in their jobs, and business owners to achieve their corporate goals.

The events also provided a platform for leaders from the Labour Movement to engage with the PMEs. In 2018, former NTUC Secretary-General Mr Chan Chun Sing held an interactive dialogue with about 500 marketers at the Digital Outlook event.

More than 2,000 professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) have benefitted from attending these jointly-organised events.

Mr Melvin Yong, Assistant Secretary-General, NTUC and Director, NTUC U Associate, said: "The Labour Movement aims to help workers stay competitive so that they remain employable for life and we want to recognise partners like Econsultancy who make valuable contributions to help PMEs in the marketing industry develop and upgrade their skills."

Jefrey Gomez, Managing Partner, Econsultancy, said: "Econsultancy has always strived to provide quality training programmes that address the industry's needs. Receiving the Partner of Labour Movement award is an affirmation that we are moving in the right direction, and we will continue to develop programmes that will help working professionals remain relevant in the ever-changing digital marketing industry."
