BroadSoft reports lower Q3 net income, provides outlook for Q4Nov 08, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- BroadSoft, Inc., a provider of internet protocol-based, or IP-based, communications services, has reported a net income of $3.14 million, or $0.11 per diluted share, for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012, compared to $7.34 million, or $0.26 per diluted share, for the same quarter ended September 30, 2011. The company expects non-GAAP earnings to be in the range of $0.33 to $0.48 per diluted common share for the fourth quarter of 2012. Total revenue for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012 was $40.17 million, compared to $35.68 million for the same period ended September 30, 2011. Net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $7.2 million, or $0.25 per diluted share, compared to $26.83 million, or $0.96 per diluted share, for the same period ended September 30, 2011. Total revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2012 was $119.03 million, compared to $97.51 million for the same period ended September 30, 2011. The company anticipates revenue to be in the range of $43 million to $48 million for the fourth quarter of 2012. For 2012, the company expects revenue to be in the range of $162 million to $167 million, and non-GAAP earnings to be in the range of $1.3 to $1.45 per diluted common share.
