(NASDAQ: BIDU) and Lenovo Group Limited (SEHK: 0992) officially launched LePhone A586 mobile phone model to the public in Hong Kong. This is the first time for Baidu to ally with Lenovo in launching mobile phone models following its tie-up with hardware manufacturers including Dell Inc. (SHSE: 600839), TCL Corporation (SZSE: 000100), etc. According to introduction, LePhone A586 is a smartphone model based on Baidu's smart cloud terminal platform, whose hardware is manufactured by Lenovo and the chip employs high-performance Qualcomm-made Snapdragon processor-MSM8225.
