AT&T Launches U-verse High Speed Internet Power


Aug 29, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- AT&T announced that U-verse customers in 40 markets across 15 states can now get home High Speed Internet at speeds of up to 45 Mbps downstream and up to 6 Mbps upstream.

According to a release, U-verse High Speed Internet Power is now available to eligible AT&T U-verse residential and small business customers in: -Birmingham, AL -Huntsville-Decatur-Florence, AL -Mobile, AL -Hartford, CT -New Haven, CT -Jacksonville, FL -Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, FL -Orlando, FL -West Palm Beach-Ft. Pierce, FL -Atlanta, GA -Champaign, IL -Chicago, IL -Indianapolis, IN -South Bend-Elkhart, IN -Louisville, KY -Baton Rouge, LA -New Orleans Metro, LA -Detroit, MI -Flint-Saginaw, MI -Grand Rapids, MI -Lansing, MI -Biloxi-Gulfport, MS -Jackson, MS -Charlotte, NC -Greensboro-High Point-Winston Salem, NC -Raleigh, NC -Cleveland, OH -Columbus, OH -Dayton, OH -Toledo, OH -Charleston, SC -Columbia, SC -Greenville, SC -Chattanooga, TN -Knoxville, TN -Memphis, TN -Nashville, TN -Green Bay-Appleton, WI -Madison, WI -Milwaukee, WI AT&T said its expansion of U-verse Internet speeds is part of AT&T's Project Velocity IP (VIP), a three-year investment plan announced last fall to expand and enhance its IP broadband networks. Through this investment, AT&T is supporting its customers' desire for high-speed Internet access and new mobile, app and cloud-based services. Also, as part of Project VIP, AT&T plans to upgrade top tier U-verse speeds to up to 100 Mbps in the future.



U-verse Power is available to eligible residential customers at introductory rates as low as $49.95** per month for up to 24 months when bundled with qualifying TV and voice services. Current, eligible U-verse Internet residential customers can upgrade their package and receive $10 off their bill for 12 months. Customers can get more information at att.com/uverse.

U-verse Power was launched in California and Nevada. AT&T plans to expand to more markets on an ongoing basis.


AT&T U-verse is an integrated bundle of IP services that include AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet and AT&T U-verse Voice. U-verse Internet offers more speed options and includes wireless home networking capability. U-verse Internet packages include access to more than 32,000 hot spots on a Wi-Fi network, so customers can stay connected at home or on-the-go.

Residential customers who bundle U-verse TV and Internet services enjoy several applications. For example, U-verse TV and Internet customers can use their smartphone as a remote control with AT&T U-verse Easy Remote; access country content including live performances, artist interviews, music videos and original content with Country Deep; sync their smartphone or tablet to their TV to access a number of U-verse Enabled apps; and more. AT&T U-verse is also a provider in the United States to offer a fully-integrated Wireless Receiver, allowing customers to watch TV in virtually any room in the home, even where there's not a TV outlet.

U-verse customers have the flexibility to choose the services in their bundle, including U-verse Internet, U-verse TV, U-verse Voice and even AT&T wireless services for significant savings.
