American Systems Announces Formation of Consulting Group

CHANTILLY, Va. --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 25, 2006 -- American Systems, one of the largest locally-based system integrators and service providers in the greater D.C. area, today announced the formation of its Enterprise Consulting Group (ECG). The ECG offers high-end, repeatable consulting solutions that enable customers, primarily in the commercial market, to control and manage information and protect valuable corporate assets. The group's core offerings include identity and access management, compliance and risk management, and security program development.

According to American Systems President and CEO Bill Hoover, "The launch of the ECG represents a major element in the execution of the company's recently approved strategy. Initially, the ECG will focus sales and delivery efforts on existing customer relationships along the East Coast and in Puerto Rico, primarily in the financial and healthcare sectors. The high-end repeatable consulting solutions offered by the ECG will drive higher margins for American Systems and its shareholders."

The new group will be led by Bobby Christian, one of the founders of True North Solutions, an information security solutions provider acquired by American Systems in July 2004. Joining Christian are several strategic leadership hires who bring extensive experience as former members of an internationally recognized consulting firm. They include Juan Melendez as Managing Director of Business Development; Dan Mirones, Managing Director of Delivery Services; and Jane McGraw, Director of Compliance and Risk Management.
