As tempting as this idea might sound in theory (a chance to wow the crowd in order to engage them), it’s once again a delicate balance to strike. Throwing money and flashy animations at your website won’t automatically make it visually appealing. In fact, when done poorly, this could simply make it an overstimulating eyesore that turns people away just as quickly as if you’d presented them with a wall of text. Difficulties arise when you need your website updating and maintaining again and again – especially when it comes to intensive changes that come along with the changing tastes of audiences. Not only is the application and usage of these animations important, but getting to that point in the first place is a consideration. It’s not a tactic that’s guaranteed to improve your website, so think carefully about what you can do to put your best foot forward when it comes to how you want to sculpt your website and what impression you want to give about your brand.
