Storing smart gadgets in the kitchen are quite challenging. You have to wrap your head around on how you can use your kitchen gadgets while at the same time keeping them dry and away from moisture. There’s a need to organize your smart speakers, ovens, and other kitchen appliances to avoid possible fire or electrical accidents, as well.

Cubbies in your cabinets are other ways to store your gadgets in your kitchen safely. Many cabinet makers, like those of american made kitchen cabinets, offer customized cubbies and open shelving services specially designed for your smart gadgets and appliances.

Charging Stations

Since many people can’t live without their phones nowadays, they want to charge stations on their furniture, including kitchen cabinets. This is why smart kitchens are made to accommodate  smartphones, tablets, computers, or other kitchen gadgets’ charging.

You don’t want to see three sockets sitting next to each other, though. Cabinets should have a drawer or a portion of its cabinet box to be dedicated to plugs. Install traditional plugs, USB-type plugs, or wireless charging hubs inside the drawer or cabinet box. When you want to charge your gadgets, open the drawer or the cabinet door. When you’re done, push it back. It helps with the clean aesthetic too!

Light it up!

There are many instances when the lights inside your kitchen are not enough. Take the sink under the overhead cabinets, for example. It’s harder to see your plates when you’re washing the dishes because your body blocks the light from your kitchen chandelier or primary light source. Lighten up your kitchen under cabinet lights.

Installing interior cabinet lights is another way of lighting up your kitchen. It will let you see the see the contents of your cabinets. To turn the lights on or off, you can install light switches or have automatic lights that automatically turn on or off when you open or close your cabinet doors, respectively, like a fridge! Some even have smart lights that can be controlled using a phone app.

Paneling for wires

For safety purposes, it’s deemed necessary to hide the electrical wires of your kitchen gadgets and interior cabinet lights. What’s more, isn’t it very unorganized and unpleasant to see messy and wiring running on the floor and the walls, right?

One simple way to hide these wirings is to use cable protectors. All you have to do is bunch up all wirings and hide it inside the cable protectors. Lastly, keep them inside your kitchen cabinets.

To hide wirings inside the cabinet, drill holes inside the cabinet box and run the wires through the holes. Use clips to hold the wires in place. Putting a wood plank inside the cabinets can also conceal the cables. Do not fret as this will not affect the quality and stability of your cabinets.

Hands-free cabinet doors and drawers

One rising trend in the cabinetry industry nowadays is the use of hands-free cabinet doors and drawers. These kinds of cabinets are easy to operate as they tend to open or close by themselves automatically. For instance, you can tap its drawer or door with your finger or nudge with your knee or elbow; then, the cabinet will open immediately.

Moreover, many would opt for easy-open and hands-free cabinets for sanitary and mobility purposes.  This is best when you don’t want your cabinet handles to get dirty after holding meat.
