Airpush Pushes Real Time Bidding With AirDSP And An Open API

By Michael Mayday, TMCnet Contributing Writer

Airpush is pushing its mobile advertisement capabilities by providing mobile real-time bidding(RTB) with the release of its AirDSP platform.

AirDSP has condensed the advertising experience into a single interface, letting advertisers run campaigns across major mobile real-time bidding exchanges and sell-side platforms. The AirDSP platform also helps marketers with its patent-pending optimization tool aimed at providing self-serve advertisers better bidding precision with campaign metrics and trends. Such abilities give marketers better return on investment and better control over paying for ads.

“Real-time bidding in mobile has recently experienced explosive growth, but the barriers to entry are extremely high for advertisers who want to enter the market and be competitive,” said Asher Delug, Airpush Founder and CEO, in a prepared statement. “Only the largest advertisers and agencies are equipped to build connectivity to the exchanges, develop a bidding algorithm and media buying interface, and acquire data at a scale that is required to be competitive in today’s mobile RTB market. Our vision for AirDSP was to break down those barriers to entry and give our 5,000+ advertisers a world-class platform to enter the mobile RTB market effortlessly.”

And the RTB market is lucrative: eMarketer projects a 73 percent growth on digital ads bought through RTB. The group also estimates that U.S. advertisers alone will spend over $3.36 billion on RTB in 2013. Spending is also expected to grow by double-digits through 2017.

That growth will likely lure in competition, suggesting the battle for the premier RTB platform is far from over. But one of the advantages AirDSP has over the competition is an open API, letting customers create their own AirDSP interface within their own web applications.

AirDSP is currently available on the Airpush website, and is available for free for subscribers and new advertisers.
