New GE Technology Enhanced Appliances

By Ashley Caputo, TMCnet Web Editor

With so many high-tech mobile and entertainment devices, it seems that technology is only honing into one specific layer of our life that doesn’t include at-home daily operations, like laundry.

Finally technology is catching up to our favorite kitchen appliances, and this week GE Appliances have showcased its 2013 collection at the International Builder’s Shoe, including laundry products, refrigerators and wall ovens.

The new high-efficiency (HE) washers feature the largest capacity (five feet cute) for top loading models, while using less energy and water. To make the task of unloading the frontload washer easier, which sometimes involves kneeling on the floor and bending forward, GE has created built-in risers and the largest openings on the market.

For consumers who use hot water daily for tea, oatmeal or soup, the new GE Café French door is the first refrigerator that can accurately heat 10 ounces of water in minutes, which is perfect for anyone on the go, saving time and promoting easy accessibility.

The GE wall oven makes cooking even easier (if that’s possible), with new wall ovens that feature the latest European convention cooking, with vents on the ceiling that increase the air flow, perfect for heating baked goods. And the best part of this new oven is that it can be controlled by an iPhone (News - Alert) or Android, with Wi-Fi access of course.

GE has made chores a whole lot easier, maybe even more “fun.”
