Subaru: Think, Feel, Drive and...Microsoft Lync?

Subaru is a well known car maker that is actually part of the Japanese transportation firm Full Heavy Industries (FHI). Touted as being extremely safe and ideal for people who live in areas that see a lot of snow in particular, this car company recently formed a strategic alliance with Microsoft (News - Alert) Canada that will enable the auto maker to power Microsoft Lync to its wide customer base.



Lync is a robust solution that enables companies to collaborate in a much more efficient manner, bringing communication within any organization to an unparalleled level. In line with this agreement, Lync will now be provided to all Subaru Canada users, allowing them to easily send instant messages, benefit from audio, video or Web conferences or even make a phone call from virtually anywhere they are located.

"Subaru Canada is an incredible organization that brings unique and innovative engineering to the marketplace," said Jason Brommet, group manager, Microsoft Office Division, at Microsoft Canada, in a statement. "So it was a thrill to work closely with the company to bring that same savvy and innovation to their employees through Microsoft Lync. By using Lync, Subaru is already tapping into all the smart features of the modern desktop to drive the business forward, all while achieving great value."

Additionally, Subaru recently unveiled its new innovation, the EyeSight driver assistance system, that will be encompassed within all Legacy and Outback models years 2013 and newer that will help drivers to rest assured that their most prized possessions are save at all times – their loved ones.
