Amazon Pages and Posts Take Third-Party Selling to the Next Level

By Brittany Walters-Bearden, TMCnet Contributor

The popularity of Amazon has long made it a great place for third parties to sell their goods. Now, they are taking it to the next level, just in time for holiday shopping.

Vendors on Amazon will be able to create their own attractive Amazon page with a unique Amazon URL. There are three different styles that vendors can choose from to create Amazon Pages, allowing vendors to showcase their products in a more enticing format than in the past. Early screenshots published on TechCrunch make it look possible that some vendors may choose to use an Amazon Page instead of a website, rather than in conjunction with a website.

According to Amazon, this will offer vendors a number of benefits, including improved sales, improved ROI, improved engagement, and an improved understanding of their customers. One page is allowed per brand by Amazon policy.

Another feature of this new service is Amazon Posts, which will display posts to your Amazon page, Facebook (News - Alert) page, or both, allowing vendors to get social and promote their items in a simple manner. Vendors will also receive in-depth analytics; “Learn the impact of every post and page on a daily basis, by click-through rate, purchasing index, and more. Based on Amazon Analytics, you can then design well-directed posts to help increase your brand’s sales and presence with Amazon customers and Facebook users.”

It has already been noted that Amazon is missing out on a few critical pieces, like Pintrest integration. Whether or not more social integration is coming in the future is not yet clear.

Amazon Pages and Posts promise to help Amazon vendors make more money not only during the holiday season, but throughout the rest of the year. Any vendors who want more information about how to build and use this new feature can take advantage of the user guide by visiting here.
