DragonSearch Introduces DragonTweet WordPress Plugin

By David Gitonga, TMCnet Contributing Writer

After realizing that visitors to their DragonSearch blog shared auto-filled, formulaic tweets that were not Twitter or user-friendly, the Dragons at Dragon Search were faced with a challenge not very common to a premier boutique digital marketing agency.

They decided to do what most digital marketing agencies don’t do – build a Wordpress plugin. And thus the DragonTweet was born.

The DragonSearch has released the DragonTweet WordPress plugin to make it easier for bloggers and visitors to easily customize and brand their tweets and retweets. The plug-in integrates seamlessly with both WordPress and Twitter (News - Alert) with a post-editing backend option that puts more control in the hands of content creators, making it possible for a site’s visitors to more fully customize any tweets sent out.

DragonTweet solves a particularly specific problem for Twitter users with a fully customizable social media plugin with an easy-to-use, fully-featured user experience. The plug-in will offer a fully-optimized social media experience and SEO page title that includes the ability to rewrite each post’s default tweet and set customized “via” Twitter handles, and the ability to receive and set default follower recommendations.

It also supports other custom URL shorteners of your choice, and allows you to choose the location and size of the Twitter button.

DragonTweet will help solve the problem facing Twitter users of having to tackle the challenge of fitting 140 characters or including tags that make conversations with @tagging friends and followers or with hashtags impossible. The DragonTweet tailors your twitter identity, allowing you to customize the hashtags, add custom author Twitter handles or call out other people and automatically create shortened URLs with a custom shortener much more conveniently and easily.

Specializing in brand management and marketing consultation, the new tool is part of DragonSearch’s efforts to improve how you engage with your friends and followers. The DragonTweet tool will no doubt make it easier for users to continue tweeting.
