VoX Makes Calling Easier for Samsung Users

By Brittany Walters-Bearden, TMCnet Contributor

VoX Communications (News - Alert) has announced that users of Samsung mobile devices will now be able to download the VoX “Pay and Go” mobile VoIP calling application. With rates as low as one cent per minute, no monthly payment or contract required, and the ability to top up accounts for as little as $1, those who make international phone calls will, undoubtedly be excited.

For rates as low as 2.5 cents per minute users can call India, for rates as low as six cents per minute users can call Mexico, and for rates as low as 9.2 cents per minute users can call Brazil. VoX to VoX calls are free. In total, there are 60 countries that users can call, from South America to Australia to Asia to North America to Africa.

According to a statement from VoX, one in five smartphones sold in the United States is from the Samsung (News - Alert) Galaxy series. They believe that if more people see that the app is available, more people will use it.

The CIO of VoX, Mark Richards said, "We are highly encouraged by the increased conversions brought to us by our newly-launched Pay and Go plan, so we decided to broaden the reach of our app by making it available on Samsungapps.com. We note that the Samsung store is ranked in the top 5,000 sites in the world and the app store icon is now installed on every Samsung smartphone and tablet that is shipped globally."

The app has 918 total ratings in Google Play, 636 of which are five-star reviews and 209 of which are four-star reviews. Users who download the app will receive 60 minutes of free calling to any of the 60 countries that VoX lists on its website.
