Signiant Adds Seven Media Technology Companies to its Channel Partner Program

By Monica Gleberman, Contributing Writer

Signiant plans to expand its marketing footprint by adding seven top providers of integrated media technology as resellers for its Channel Partner (News - Alert) Program. The partners will offer their own products to help address Signiant’s growing demand for media and entertainment-based content.

The company develops software solutions and professional services products that enable enterprises to centrally control and securely move their remote data.

“Unlike fragmented, first-generation file transport solutions that have proliferated ad hoc networks and disparate, unmanaged transport mechanisms, Signiant’s software and services are uniquely tuned for the media enterprise,” according to the Signiant website. “This focus is evident in our scalable solutions, on-staff knowledge of broadcast and media operations, and growing ecosystem of technology partnerships.”

In an official statement, the company revealed some of the new technology partners which include AD Digital of Brazil, Altered Images in the U.K., Fofic Media Solutions in The Netherlands, Mediatrade in Finland, and Promovisa in Spain. All of the partners bring some type of technology or product to the table including subscription-based file transfer software called Media Shuffle (works in the cloud) and Managers+Agents, which were designed for automated batch file transfers.

All of the software will still utilize an IP-based Acceleration Protocol and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security model to optimize the movement of media, regardless of the size or location of the data being transferred.

“By offering the same level of security, speed and control that Signiant is known for in its flagship products in an affordable subscription model, Media Shuffle is driving new business opportunities for our channel partners worldwide,” said Rick Cramer, senior vice president of Global Operations, Signiant.

Cramer used Media Shuffle as an example, adding “As traditional content distribution methods give way to more efficient file-based media environments, Media Shuttle provides a powerful solution to address the unmet file transfer needs of a broader base of users and use cases. No other product or service, including free file sharing sites, FTP and other point-to-point solutions, can deliver the same ease of use, simplicity of deployment and performance.”
