ANPI ZONE Telecom Brings in Kenneth Jenks as New VP

By Rich Steeves, TMCnet Web Editor

The roots of ANPI ZONE Telecom can be traced back to two different companies that made their debuts in the previous century. ANPI began life in 1996 as a company focused on lowering long distance rates by aggregating scale. ZONE Telecom (News - Alert) started in 2000 as a residential long distance company. Then, in 2011, the two companies finalized a merger, creating a new business entity with the network, infrastructure, technologies, financial strength and human resources to deliver innovative products and services at a high level of support.

And now, to strengthen its management team even further, ANPI ZONE Telecom is bringing on a new vice president – Kenneth Jenks.

Jenks boasts 32 years in the telecommunications industry, having most recently worked as the director of operations at AireSpring for the past five years. He’s also worked at Pacific Bell, Datanet, Intellinet, PAETEC (News - Alert) and other companies.

Jenks started his training in the United States Marine Corps, and earned his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering and applied communications from the Rochester Institute of Technology (News - Alert) and a master’s degree in engineering management from California State University Northridge.

“I’m excited to bring the same level of innovation and execution that was key to my former company being awarded Internet Telephony Magazine’s 2008 and 2010 ‘Product of the Year’ for SIP Trunks and Meshed MPLS to this organization,” said Jenks, enthusiastic about his new position.

Likewise, the team at ANPI ZONE is excited to be bringing Jenks on board. “Ken joins our company at a time when our wholesale and business customers are facing extraordinary challenges and opportunities,” said Dave Lewis, CEO at ANPI ZONE. “He brings the valuable industry and product experience that our customers need to favorably position their companies for growth through innovative applications and communications solutions.”

Jenks will serve as the vice president of enterprise product operations.

To find out more about ANPI, visit the company at ITEXPO WEST. To be held Oct. 2-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX, ITEXPO is the world’s largest communications and technology event. David Byrd (News - Alert) from ANPI is speaking during “The Conversion from TDM to SIP: Evaluating the Benefits of SIP Trunking,” and “Today's Service Provider – More Than Just SIP Trunks.” For more information on ITEXPO (News - Alert) West, click here.
