FTS Billing Solution Lowers Carrier Costs, Time to Market

Customization and personalization are growing themes when it comes to mobile end users. Just look at the proliferation of applications and the wide variety of wireless device choices. But customer solutions are much less attractive when it comes to network operators, particularly when those solutions involve lengthy and costly implementations.

That’s why FTS (News - Alert) has developed a strong base of code for its carrier-targeted billing solutions, explains CEO Nir Asulin. As a result, service providers and their vendors don’t need to spend a lot of time and money doing customization work around them. While many billing companies in the market offer solutions that involve year-long implementations, Asulin says the FTS billing offer can be up and running within four or five months of the company signing a contract with the service provider customer.

“For most carriers the marketing department can devise new plans to attract new customers, or reward existing ones, but the billing system and the time required to make the change requests slows the process down,” says Asulin, who was named CEO in January. “We have put the billing system at the heart of the process, with a solution that can deliver change requests at the speed of marketing. This gives our customers levels of flexibility that they never previously thought possible.”

Asulin adds that the FTS billing solution is also unique in that it is network-agnostic. And a single FTS billing solution can address a wide range of models, including prepaid, post paid, fixed line, MVNO, and more.

FTS uses the same engine to power its customer care and policy solutions as it does for its billing offer. The products are the Leap Billing and Leap Policy Control solutions.

The company’s customers include Freenet of Germany, Mobitel Nigeria, international calling services provider TelZar 019, and Vodafone Iceland (News - Alert).
