NETGEAR, a provider of networking solutions, has announced the availability of two new Wi-Fi range extenders ideal for home networks.

The new wireless extenders -- NETGEAR AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender (EX6100) and AC1200 High Power Wi-Fi Range Extender (EX6200) – deliver next-generation Wi-Fi performance for the new mobile devices that demand Wi-Fi throughout the home, NETGEAR said.

Both extenders eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones in home networks. They also enable lag-free gaming and uninterrupted video streaming thanks to the speed and performance delivered by 802.11ac.

NETGEAR AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender and AC1200 High Power Wi-Fi Range Extender are also recognized by the Consumer Electronics Association (News - Alert) (CEA) for their design and engineering excellence in the home networking category. Both support older a/b/g/n Wi-Fi devices while providing additional performance to the latest 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices.

 NETGEAR AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender delivers up to 750 Mbps 802.11ac Wi-Fi performance in a convenient wall-plug form factor while NETGEAR AC1200 High Power Wi-Fi Range Extender delivers up to 1200 Mbps speed.

NETGEAR has also redesigned the Smart LED indicator lights for the AC750 Extender. The wireless extenders also support the NETGEAR FastLane technology that uses both Wi-Fi bands simultaneously to establish one super-fast wireless connection ideal for HD video streaming and gaming.

Customers can use the free NETGEAR Wi-Fi Analytics app for Android (News - Alert) tablets and smartphones to optimize their home network with information about their network status, signal strength and channel interference.

NETGEAR is showcasing the Wi-Fi extenders at the 2014 International CES event in Las Vegas.

The AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender is available at an MSRP of $89.99 in the U.S. The AC1200 High Power Wi-Fi Range Extender is available at an MSRP of $129.99 in the U.S.
