Arrayent to Showcase New Connectivity Solutions Based on IOT Platform at CES 2014

Arrayent announced that the company will launch new connectivity solutions based on its IOT Platform for Connected Products and Systems. The new products will be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show scheduled in Las Vegas from January 7-10 2014. The new products are developed specifically for consumer product manufacturers, retailers and service providers to make Internet of Things (IOT) a truth for their customers. The new launch closely follows the US$ 11.9 million Series B funding received by Arrayent during December.

In a release, Shane Dyer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arrayent said, “Looking back at 2013, we saw industry leading consumer product manufacturers, retailers and service providers all jockeying to capture share of the growing connected consumer products market. At this year’s Consumer Electronics Show several major brands will be demonstrating in Arrayent’s booth an extensive lineup of new products all powered by Arrayent technology. In addition, we’ll be demonstrating advances to our Connect Platform that will accelerate their time to market.”

The newly launched products minimize the complexities associated with hardware and software by embedding device virtualization technology to add internet connectivity to consumer electronics. Device-virtualization technology moves the compute power and software capabilities to the cloud and not in the device. My moving the functionality into cloud, Arrayent enables huge reduction of costs associated with connected devices such as thermostats and smoke detectors, while also making these devices easy to install and use.

The solutions to be showcased this year demonstrate a new cost-effective and multi-protocol manufacture-ready solution designed to support Arrayent’s 900/868MHz protocol and ZigBee HA1.2, Z-Wave. The other important launch would include Mobile Framework, which will be an extension to the already popular Arrayent Connect Platform. The framework is designed to speed up the development of mobile applications for Arrayent partners to manufacture mobile devices based on both iOS and Android (News - Alert) platforms.

The other products on show at the Arrayent booth will be those manufactured by the company’s customers such as Chamberlain, Whirlpool and Pentair, which predominantly feature Arrayent Cloud Connect Platform. These products include Chamberlain/LiftMaster – MyQ Garage, First Alert – SmartBridge Smoke Detector, Pentair Water – Virtual Water Assistant battery backup sump pump, Salus Controls and Whirlpool Smart Appliances with 6th Sense Live Technology.

Arrayent is engaged in the development of software solutions for embedding internet connectivity to consumer products. The company offers device-virtualization technology for the manufacturers and retailers of consumer electronic devices.
