Zylux Improves its Lifestyle Audio Products with Rfaxis CMOS RFeIc

With home theater systems growing increasingly sophisticated, with a tighter focus on wireless home networking, consumer expectations of wireless connectivity in consumer electronics, wireless streaming in audio playback is rising significantly.

When it comes to offering customers high-performance and high reliability wireless audio products at competitive prices, a growing number of OEMs are relying on RFaxis’ RF frontend solutions, designed to help maximize the performance of modern high-speed wireless communication systems such as WLAN, Bluetooth, ZigBee, WHDI, and 2G/3G/LTE (News - Alert) cellular phones.

Zylux Acoustic Corporation, a company focusing on the design and development of consumer electronics and loudspeaker systems, is the latest to select RFaxis as its technology partner.

Under the partnership, Zylux is set to leverage RFaxis’ CMOS RF (Radio Frequency) Front-End Integrated Circuits (RFeIC) to power its latest generation of wireless sound bar and subwoofer systems.

Zylux is known for its range of electronics and loudspeaker systems, used in audio products from top brands such as Polk Audio, Vizio, Klipsch, Harman/JBL Consumer, Philips (News - Alert), HP and Dell. The incorporation of RFaxis’ RF circuit will enable Zylux to address all its RF needs and offer home theater enthusiasts the high-performance and reliable wireless audio products at very competitive prices.

“The home entertainment market continues to be a growing sector. The maturity of the home theater systems requires technologies like ours to enable Home Area Networks (HAN) to go beyond file transfer and Internet access to more complicated operations such as multimedia streaming,” chairman and CEO at RFaxis Mike Neshat explained in a statement. “High-fidelity and high-definition audio streaming over proprietary RF connections and Wi-Fi Direct are an on-going trend. We are proud to have our technology powering these home theater systems. We are now recognized among top-tier OEMs and ODMs as the top supplier of RF front end solutions with the highest performance and unprecedented prices.”

The home theater enthusiasts can get to catch a live demonstration of RFaxis’ Wi-Fi Direct Sound Bar and Subwoofer System at CES (News - Alert).

Recently, RFaxis announced its collaboration with Ozmo Devices on a 5GHz 802.11a Wi-Fi Direct module reference design, featuring the RFaxis single-chip, single-die RFX5000 CMOS RF Front-end Integrated Circuit (RFeIC), paired with the OZMO2000 Wi-Fi CERTIFIED System-on-Chip (SoC) with fully integrated radio, baseband and microcontroller.

Ozmo Devices, a leading provider of low-power Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) solutions, extends its list of Wi-Fi peripheral devices ranging from keyboards, mice, remote controls for TVs and set-top boxes, gaming headsets, and to now home audio and high-fidelity surround sound speaker systems.
