Griffin Expands KaZoo Line of iOS Accessories

More and more tech companies are looking toward aiming their products at kids these days.
Polaroid is just the latest in a growing number of companies that have launched tablets specifically appealing to kids. Disney, just as well, worked several years ago to develop a kid-friendly device that never really took off, but it’s possible it was the first firm to try and bring children into the technological age.
Now, Griffin is expanding and revamping it own line of devices for the younger generation of tech users.
Griffin has had some success with its KaZoo line of accessories for the iPad and iPhone, and it appears that the company is doubling down with its recent announcement at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert)) in Las Vegas this week.
This week, the company announced it is rolling out new headphones, iPod Touch protective cases and AUX cables – all patterned after an animal theme. Griffin is also rolling out a Capper Stylus line that will reportedly work with all capacitive touchscreen devices.
The KaZoo headphones are priced at $19.99 and are over-the-ear headphones that actually have volume-limiting technology that keeps a devices’ volume at levels considered safe for younger ears.
These particular headphones come in two different animal themes, Penguin and Frog, and will be available on the market in February.
The KaZoo cases are going will retail for $24.99 and come in a couple of different varieties of animals, including Lion, Elephant, Zebra, Monkey, Penguin and Panda.
Griffin has also put forth a KaZooKeeper iOS application that will allow kids to match their iPod Touch background with the animal shown on their case. There is not a firm release date for the cases or the accompanying charm lanyards that will be selling for $12.99 a piece, but both are expected later this spring.
