XtremeMac Shows Off Brawny Soma BT Wireless Bluetooth Speaker at CES 2012

XtremeMac, a company that designs and creates accessories for different Apple devices, has announced that it has one more thing up its sleeve at the International CES (News - Alert) this year. Its new Soma BT speaker is a light wireless Bluetooth mini-speaker that comes with a battery pack and charger. This speaker will be compatible with all portable Apple devices that include Bluetooth technology, such as the iPad, the iPhone (News - Alert), and the iPod.

The speaker packs a punch, with two 2-Watt channels and a passive radiator. While the wattage doesn't sound like much, it will produce sufficient sound for a small room or for personal listening outdoors. You will be able to enjoy your music and other media from your Apple (News - Alert) devices at any place, any time.

The Soma BT includes a rechargeable battery with 1150 mAh of power capacity, meaning that it would allow for 6 hours of media playback. In case you pair the speaker with a phone, it also includes a high-power microphone for phone calls. You no longer have to hold a phone to your ear to call someone, which can get uncomfortable over time.

Don't have an Apple device? You can use the speaker with any other MP3 player and USB-compatible hardware with the Soma BT's (News - Alert) line-in port. This device will most likely be released by the second quarter of 2012.

XtremeMac, the company releasing this magic speaker, has now been operating for a decade as a portfolio brand of Imation Corporation. It started everything as soon as Apple rolled out the iPod and dedicated itself to introducing new accessories that will protect, provide power to, and play the media from Apple devices.
