TRu Multi-Touch Monitors Launched by Touch Revolution


The launch of TRu Multi-Touch Monitors has been announced by Touch Revolution. Consumers will be provided the same intuitive user experience which they have come to expect in the latest smartphone and tablet devices. Ranging in size from 15-inch to 32-inch, TRu Multi-Touch is a revolutionary line of desktop and open frame projected capacitive touch screen monitors.




A myriad of innovative touch screen product applications with Android and Windows 7 software demonstrations running on TRu Multi-Touch Monitors will be shown by Touch Revolution at 2011 International CES (News - Alert). Touch Revolution will be at booth No. 21755 in South Hall 1 at CES which begins on Jan. 6, in Las Vegas.

New and innovative ways to engage with content in locations are demonstrated with a diverse suite of applications using 21.5-inch TRu Multi-Touch Monitors. GestureWorks has developed the software used for these demonstrations.

Multi-touch touch screens in retail kiosks in partnership with Frank Mayer and Nanonation will be utilized by a dual screen sketch book. Touch screen software developed by PicsWare will be used to manage photos while on vacation through a simple, engaging, and fun multi-touch application running on TRu Multi-Touch Monitors.

Touch Revolution will demonstrate the groundbreaking implementation of Android (News - Alert) on a 21.5” TRu Multi-Touch Monitor. This will be done on a recumbent exercise bike with an innovative touch screen user interface. Touch Revolution’s NIMbleTM Embedded Touch Computer will be powering the user interface.

In a press release, Mark Hamblin, CTO and founder of Touch Revolution (News - Alert), said, “The TRu Multi-Touch Monitor line represents a major step forward for OEMs and ODMs looking to offer the type of intuitive multi-touch experience enabled by Projected Capacitive technology that to-date has been limited to smaller screen sizes. We will continue to drive the adoption of Projected Capacitive touch screens into any market you can imagine.”

A 32-inch wall mounted TRu Multi-Touch Monitor with embedded gigapixel viewer will also be demonstrated at the Touch Revolution booth. For the first time, Yosemite National Park can be explored by visitors on a touch screen in a unique manner.

Touch Revolution’s other projected capacitive touch screen products will be complemented with the TRu Multi-Touch Monitor line. These products from Touch Revolution will also be on display at CES.
