Marvell to Demonstrate True Mobile Lifestyle at CES 2011

Marvell, a dealer in development of storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, asserted that it will be introducing a range of new products and technologies at the International CES 2011 that demonstrates a true mobile lifestyle.

Always connected, always in touch, Marvell (News - Alert) claimed that it powers the mobile lifestyle, from mobile phones and tablets to information appliances and even smart furnishings.

At CES 2011, Marvell will also showcase mobile solutions which enable consumers to access live digital content – voice, data, video, photos, music and news – seamlessly, in any format from wherever they are, whenever they want.

The company claimed that its mission is to ensure that the next billion users of connected devices get to enjoy seamless and continuous connectivity of live content and communications from anywhere, anytime. The company has plans to take internet connectivity beyond PCs to a new set of innovative devices that leverage the best that technology has to offer, from smartphones and tablets, to information appliances and smart furnishings all working together to give consumers on-demand access.

The company explained that for seamless connectivity it offers a complete, end-to-end technology ecosystem to enable this next-generation of mobile communicators and provide the ultimate user experience with Marvell ARMADA, AVANTA, Pantheon and Avastar family of products. Its ARMADA line of application processors and reference platforms are specifically designed to realize an enhanced mobile computing performance.

The company developed the WiFi (News - Alert) Direct specification to eliminate the need for a traditional hotspot in many situations, instead establishing a high-performance, direct peer-to-peer network that can support consumers in all the ways they use handheld devices, including real-time content sharing and gaming, directly printing from handhelds, distributing video from a handheld to a big-screen TV, and more.

The company’s WiFi technology and the ARMADA platform are supposed to offer consumers new kind of features in home automation and control. Marvell is also planning to allow its consumers leverage advanced cloud-based automation services so that they can monitor and control every connected device in the home to help increase security, power savings and even access personal data remotely.

In order to cater to the demands of present day digital entertainment savvy consumers, Marvell asserted that it has designed enabling technologies like the ARMADA and AVANTA platforms and the Qdeo video processor that makes sure users are always connected and at the same time enjoy an improved interactive experience. Marvell's silicon design technology also powers next-generation consumer entertainment solutions.

Recently, Marvell announced a powerful transmitter beam-forming technology featuring WiFi, designed to boost throughput performance by up to 20 times over existing video technologies.
