Dr. Bernard Aboba is Principal Architect in the Applications and Services Group at Microsoft, where he coordinates Microsoft’s efforts on WebRTC. Within W3C, he is active in the Object Realtime Communications API (ORCA) Community Group, which is working on a next generation WebRTC API. Within the IETF he is the author of 50+ RFCs, and has served as Chair of the Internet Architecture Board, as well as several working groups. He has also served as a founder and President of the Unified Communications Interoperability Forum (UCI Forum) which has ongoing efforts relating to audio and video interoperability. Bernard has a BA from Harvard College, MS and Ph.D degrees from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Haas School at the University of California at Berkeley.
