Unified Communications Vendor Datapulse Named Avaya DevConnect Platinum Member

By Anamika Singh, TMCnet Contributor

Datapulse (News - Alert), a Mettoni Group company and a global unified communication software developer, announced that it has been accredited by Avaya as a Platinum Member of its Avaya (News - Alert)DevConnet program, the highest membership level offered.  The news follows Datapulse’s alignment of its business strategies with Avaya’s recently announced product roadmap, including the integration of its Nortel (News - Alert)assets.

Datapulse develops software applications and services that improve person-to-person communications, including attendant operator consoles; IP telephone screen applications and hosted call management. It has also developed contact directory and presence integration capabilities, allowing customers to achieve operational efficiencies and improved customer service to its customers across various vertical markets globally.

The Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert)program promotes the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. Member organizations have expertise in a wide range of technologies, including VoIP, contact center solutions, and mobility applications, allowing companies to extend the value of their multivendor networks and to transform voice into an intelligent business application.

The Platinum membership represents an upgrade from the Gold membership Datapulse was awarded in December, confirming its commitment to a deeper relationship with Avaya and its customer base, along with its future roadmap.

“We are delighted to be promoted by Avaya from Gold to Platinum membership. This endorsement is a measure of our skills and experience over many years of developing UC and telephony applications,” said George Montgomery, North America Sales Director for Datapulse.  “Through our close working relationship with Avaya and its channel partners, we are focused on delivering solutions that bring significant benefits to the Avaya platforms and its customers.  Achieving Platinum status for Datapulse allows us to work even closer with Avaya to deliver integrated and intuitive applications.”

The Avaya DevConnect program is accepted by various software and hardware developer companies, integrators, service providers and customers.

“With the support of long-standing developer partners like Datapulse, Avaya is able to help businesses operate more efficiently and effectively and stand out in a crowded marketplace,' noted Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations, Avaya.  “By embedding new unified communications capabilities into critical business processes, they can establish a competitive advantage, improve service to their clients and get more out of their network investment.”

As a member of the DevConnect program, companies have access to a wide range of support from Avaya, including technical resources, training, and marketing support, all designed to enable them to effectively support the existing and future Avaya/Nortel install base.
