Jaduka Unveils Free Group Calling Service through VoIPBy Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor Web-integrated communication technologies provider Jaduka reportedly has launched an easy-to-use group calling application, “dukaUS,” which dials out and connects up to 6 participants by phone for free.
Users are expected to find the new application easy to start and moderate, Jaduka (News - Alert) officials say. Compatible with both PCs and Macs, dukaUS allows callers to host daily or weekly calls whenever they want.
Jaduka President Jack Rynes said that in order to use most group phone services available in the market, users must dial a number, enter a PIN, and then follow an often-confusing phone menu. Their company has eliminated all these hassles with their new application that makes the calls for users.
“Joining a dukaUS group call is a simple as answering the phone,” Rynes said.
Jaduka’s dukaUS includes a number of features such as Web-based group call administration with “Call,” “Mute,” and “Hold.” The application allows the group leader to add up to five other participants per call and features an address book that stores frequently called numbers.
dukaUS also offers 30 minutes per day of free group calling per user account and has a call “countdown” timer to keep track of their current account balance. The new Web-based application is currently supporting group calling to telephone numbers in the United States and Canada.
In September, Jaduka partnered with Serena, a provider of software and Web 2.0 tools to create next generation Business Mashups. With this agreement Jaduka aims to bring their enterprise-class voice technology to IT business analysts and power users. Jaduka has also become a charter member of the Serena Mashup Exchange, the online community that facilitates trying, buying, and selling Business Mashups.
