Mitel Continues Pac-Man M&A Strategy, Gobbling Mavenir Systems


Mitel continues its acquisition expansion strategy, adding Mavenir Systems to its portfolio with an announcement at Mobile World Congress on March 2, 2015. Mitel will pay around $560 million for Mavenir, giving the company a footprint into the mobile service provider world.

Why You Need to Know: Like many vendors in the telecommunications industry, Mitel is shifting its product mix away from dedicated hardware and one-time sales to a services/subscription-based portfolio.
