Speech Recognition Product Geared Towards Students Released

InteractCRM and Loquendo (News - Alert) haveannounced a partnership to deliver a product with the benefits of an interactive voice portal to students in the United States, “providing them 24/7 access to personalized information over phone by means of natural language based interaction.”The companies say a successful delivery of an IVR speech application for an education conglomerate in the USA is the fruit of their partnership. The company has a network of more than 90 ground campuses across the US and Canada, and runs a centralized support desk for students and faculties across these campuses.

Last month TMC’s (News - Alert) Patrick Barnard wrote that a new text-to-speech product from Loquendo lets users translate text in one language to speech or text in another. So, for example, if you are dining in a restaurant in Madrid and can’t understand the menu, “you can simply snap a photo of the menu using your iPhone’s (News - Alert) camera, and the software will capture and read the text, then either read the translation back to you, via audio, or present it in text form on your iPhone’s screen.”...Read More>>
