Unified Communications, VoIP Benefits Prying Open the Eyes of SMBS Worldwide

Virtually any company that uses e-mail and phones of any kind can see an array of advantages from leveraging VoIP and unified communications (UC). No, we aren’t joking; it really is that broad of an audience that can leverage these next-generation platforms and be blown away by the bountiful benefits. Findings seem to mirror that notion and a recent report from Infonetics Research (News - Alert)  highlights that nearly $377 billion will be spent on VoIP and unified communications through 2016.

Thomas Beck, director of Marketing and Business Development, Teo, stated in an exclusive interview with TMCnet, “I get the above question often, and it is in my mind like asking what sort of companies can benefit most from PC's and soft phones.”

Both VoIP and UC are continuing to pick up speed, as they are being touted as not only reducing expenses and ramping up efficiency but also bringing an unparalleled level of both flexibility and scalability ranging from small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) all the way up to large enterprises. While VoIP by itself does not do a lot for customer satisfaction, it is the convergence of VoIP with added capabilities such as IM, presence, voicemail integration, e-mail integration, video and mobile integration that really add to customer satisfaction.
