PBX (News - Alert) Systems provider Positron Access Solutions has named Bruce Hammergren vice president of sales for North America.
Officials with Positron said Hammergren, a 30-year veteran in the telecom industry, will spearhead the rapid sales growth of the company’s Aktino (News - Alert) bonded copper solutions, which deliver 100 Mbps Ethernet services over copper infrastructure. Hammergren has held senior positions in sales and marketing, particularly with copper-based telecom solutions, with PairGain, Motorola, Ericsson and Actelis (News - Alert).
“Positron’s Aktino bonded-copper product family is clearly the right solution at this time of exploding Ethernet bandwidth requirements for businesses, LTE (News - Alert) wireless cell sites and to enable high-speed residential internet access,” said Hammergren. “This is an exciting time for me to come on board and bring the Aktino solution to customers across North America.”
Hammergren also said he believes Positron is the uncontested leader in delivering the highest bandwidth over copper backed by solid support and has an excellent track record in bringing carrier-grade telecom solutions to the market.
The Aktino MIMO-on-DMT (News - Alert) bonded-copper solution makes it possible for service providers to instantly and profitably deliver up to 100 Mbps carrier-grade Ethernet in the last mile - instead of incurring the high costs and delays of deploying fiber.
