Alltel Wireless and Motricity Introduce Axcess Ringbacks

Alltel Wireless has introduced its “ringback tones” service with which customers can choose a song or sound that callers will hear while waiting to be connected to the caller. The ringback tone catalogue includes music from an extensive range of genres including Hip Hop, Rock and Country.
Alltel has hired Motricity’s Fuel technology platform to offer the service. With the platform, Alltel customers can buy ringback tones from the Internet, SMS and WAP .
Ringback tones are now integrated with the current Storefront that Motricity already provides for Alltel Wireless so customers can buy ringtones, graphics and now, ringback tones from a central source.
