Master Agent WTG Is Chosen for Frontier's Strategic Alliance ChannelBy Andrew Litz, TMCnet Web Editor
World Telecom Group (WTG) has been chosen as one of the first master agents for Frontier Communications’ new Strategic Alliance Channel. The program is an upgrade for the telecom carrier, and comes with new resources and compensation structures. For WTG agents, being designated as a Strategic Alliance partner means the ability to sell across the entire Frontier footprint, company said on Tuesday. With a local strategy now in place, WTG said, there will be an emphasis on winbacks and acquisitions. In addition, there’s an agent portal that will house promotions, sell sheets, order status, and new channel management. WTG has already served as a Frontier master agent in the past, but the new developments open additional opportunities to WTG’s channel partners. In addition, they mean WTG will be able to “scale our Frontier business in all markets," CEO Vince Bradley said. “With such an excellent nationwide footprint, our agent partners will be able to get more of the business that comes their way through this augmented Frontier relationship via WTG." WTG contracts with more than 100 service providers. Their products include local, long-distance, data, and Internet. WTG has a diverse portfolio that includes local, long-distance, data, Internet, and associated equipment. In recent master agent news, Terrapin (News - Alert) Solutions, a designer of cloud solutions for businesses based on technologies from cloud telephony, cloud computing, and managed services, recently announced that it is partnering with Pac-West Telecomm, which provides communications infrastructure services, to make the Telastic white-label hosted IP/PBX (News - Alert) service available to Terrapin’s 1,400+ nationwide agents. Also, Tulsat entered into a system integrator/master agent agreement with the networking company Cisco (News - Alert). The master agent agreement enables Tulsat to sell both IT and service provider video technology group related products in the U.S. Andrew Litz brings more than 20 years of experience in publishing to his role as Web Editor at TMC (News - Alert), where he covers cloud computing, networking, and other related areas.
