SMB Sector Offers Great Opportunity for UC Vendors: Frost & SullivanBy Anil Sharma, TMCnet Contributor The small and medium businesses (SMB) sector offers a great market opportunity for unified communications (UC) vendors and service providers, says Frost & Sullivan.
Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert), the growth partnership company, says that SMBs are eager to benefit from advanced communication features.
According to the company, the communications capabilities that were once reserved for larger enterprises have now permeated the world of small to medium businesses. However, lacking the IT and financial resources that larger enterprises enjoy, small businesses require solutions that are inexpensive, as well as easy to deploy and manage.
These market trends will be discussed during Frost & Sullivan's next Analyst Briefing on Unified Communications (News - Alert) adoption in the SMB sector on Thursday, 1 July 2010, at 15.00 BST.
In the briefing Dorota Oviedo, industry analyst for unified communications and collaboration group, will analyze trends in premises-based and hosted unified communications targeted at the SMB sector, key challenges in the European SMB sector, and also present vendor strategies for success.
'After decades of being rather neglected by the enterprise communications vendors, the small and medium business (SMB) sector has recently become the target for a wave of products catered to its needs,' said Oviedo.
She said that from small start-up to large organization, just about every company can benefit from productivity gains that unified communications solutions can provide.
The briefing is expected to benefit unified communications and collaboration vendors, distributors, VARs, SIs, service providers and other market participants.
