has announced the addition of TD-SCDMA as an option for its NetTek Wireless RF Field Tester. The enhanced solution offers TD-SCDMA RF field test and measurement capabilities in handheld form, which enables network providers, contractors and equipment manufacturers to easily diagnose Node B transmitter problems and more efficiently manage the roll out of the new technology.
) collaborates with a number of mobile network operators and equipment manufacturers to offer test and control of their networks and applications, which enables reduced business and technology risk associated with new standards development and deployment.
The Tektronix RF field test solution offers a handheld spectrum analyzer, GPS location information and internal mapping capabilities to offer a field ready frequency clearing tool for spotting and dealing with erroneous RF signals. Other capabilities include demodulation measurements for technologies like HSDPA and W-CDMA. Support for TD-SCDMA is also available through the Tektronix Mobile Protocol Test solutions, offering customers a suite of mobile protocol test tools for the next generation of multi-service networks.
“The timely availability of accurate and cost effective solutions for base transceiver station maintenance and antenna test is an essential element of a successful TD-SCDMA roll out,” said Wensheng Xu, senior technical manager, product testing department, Datang Mobile. “Tektronix’ NetTek suite of RF field test applications will help us deliver the quality and reliability that our customers have come to expect from the new standard, leading to increased 3G services adoption and subscribers' satisfaction.”
