Indonesia Chooses NICE Software to Protect Leading Financial Institution

Mobile banking has become etched into the daily lives of users and has completely revolutionized the definition of commerce, which can now take place in the digital space. But with data brokers and hackers constantly threatening business and consumer security, mixed with unstable governments and terrorist threats in certain parts of the world, the need for heightened levels of secure software is becoming vital.


To protect Indonesia’s leading commercial bank, PT Bank Central Asia, from this danger, it chose NICE Actimize, a provider of a single financial crime, risk and compliance software platform for the financial services industry.

NICE is a provider of intent-based solutions and is known for its cross-channel and multisensor analytics that are used to improve businesses performance, increase operational efficiency, secure a business’ finances and provide high levels of security and safety. The NICE Actimize software came just in time, as PT Bank Central Asia was facing pressures to create a new anti-money laundering strategy, which is a key component in Actimize’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) suite.

In a world plagued by such criminal activity in the digital space, such a decision can either make or break a company, especially a financial institution that carries so much important data. PT Bank Central Asia chose Actimize because of its end-to-end coverage to identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering and terrorist financing. It will also utilize Actimize’s Watch List Filtering solutions that will provide enterprise wide and multi-business unit coverage for screening customers and transactions against sanction, PEP and internal lists.

After Actimize is completely integrated into PT Bank Central Asia, it is expected to monitor 12 million accounts throughout Indonesia, which makes their choice of NICE software even more important to the entire country.

Recently Indosoft (News - Alert), a provider of call center software, also began integrating NICE’s workforce management software into its internal workings. NICE’s WFM software is used by contact centers the entire world to help manage day-to-day events and agent adherence. It allows businesses to increase the level of consistency of their services for clients, minimize the cost of agent payroll, increase agent productivity and automate processes and produce administrative time savings.

As NICE technologies are integrated and chosen by institutions around the world, it continues to make headway in different industries with its global dominance.
