All Eyes on Thankful as AI Platform Raises $12M in Series A Funding
There’s no doubt about the leading charge that artificial intelligence (AI) is taking in the technology and consumer markets. As more and more automation and cognitive technologies advance, we’re seeing AI included in just about everything. In Customer Service, it’s especially becoming the go-to for simpler, more streamlined services.
Venice, California-based Thankful, an AI customer service platform that takes services to the next level, is quickly gaining attention as it just announced $12M in Series A Funding that it has received from investors. Led by Alpha Edison, others also included Bonfire, Ten-One-Ten, Omega, Miramar and Greycroft.
The buy-in doesn’t come as a huge surprise if you’ve been following the company, which has pulled a 400 percent year over year growth since launching in 2018.
The artificial intelligence customer service software solution it provides helps companies solve customer problems thorugh written channels like text, email, chat, social and SMS.
Brands like Crate & Barrel, FabFitFun, MeUndies, Morphe, and Bombas are already making use of their technology. Helpdesks like Zendesk, Kustomer and Gladly also rely on their technology to understand and reply to customer needs.
"Thankful stood out to us because it's the only customer support software that's on the customer's side - and we know from our experience that will always be the winning side," said Robey Miller, Partner at Alpha Edison.
"What attracted us most was the traction they achieved in a short time, and the vision of turning customer service from a cost center to revenue driver."
This latest round of funding will provide the company with capital to scale their business and expand their technologies to solve even more problems, and even work on helping businesses with automating personalized relationship building.
"We are so grateful to our investors and thrilled that they share our mission of giving every customer access to exceptional service by providing every business the technology to deliver it," said Thankful AI CEO, Ted Mico. "This financing will help us to continue to lead the transformation of customer service into an effective sales and marketing channel."
