Elementool provides Web-based project management tools for help desk, bug and defect tracking, test tracking and time tracking. The company recently reached a partnership agreement with Web conferencing provider InterCall (News - Alert) to develop a Web conferencing tool that’s integrated with the existing suite of seven Elementool project management tools and applications. The new tool helps Elementool customers communicate with far-flung colleagues within the integrated Elementool project and application lifecycle management dashboard.

 

Yaron Sinai, CEO and founder of Elementool, says “integration” is the latest trend in Software-as-a-Service or “SaaS (News - Alert)” arena. Partnerships enable the companies to develop integrated tools and serve their customers better. In November last year, Elementool entered into another such partnership with Zoho (News - Alert) to integrate Zoho’s wide range of applications and features to complement Elementool’s existing suite of integrated SaaS tools, TMCnet reported.

 

In an interview with Technology Marketing Corporation Sinai, speaks about Elementool’s recent partnership with InterCall and the latest trends in SaaS. Our exchange follows.

 

Yaron Sinai: We’re always looking for ways to provide our customers with products and tools that will help to improve their project management processes. Partnering with other Web based companies such as InterCall, to incorporate their tools into the Elementool interface, is a great way to quickly bring useful new tools to our customers. A Web conferencing tool will allow Elementool users to share screens, trouble shoot or simply hold a team meeting directly from their Elementool dashboard, with team members or partners anywhere in the world.

 

Yaron Sinai: Elementool customers will have one more useful project management tool available from their Elementool dashboard that will just simply work with their other tools. The Web conferencing tool will allow customers to easily hold long distance meetings without set up or having to buy other tools so that it will integrated into their existing project management solution.

Yaron Sinai: The Web conferencing tool will complement the 7 current Elementool project management tools, and will integrate with them.

 

YS: The current trends in SaaS are definitely leaning towards integration. With so many different tools and companies out there, customers want a wide range of solutions that will just work together. Partnering with other SaaS companies lets us do the integration work for our customers, so that they don’t have to spend the time and effort shopping for all the tools they need and making them work together.

 

YS: This Web-conferencing tool, along with a few other tools that we’ve been developing (such as a mobile reminder service), will eventually be part of a larger calendar tool. Elementool Calendar will probably launch around mid-year, and will integrate with Issue Tracking, Help Desk and Test Cases.
