Voipswitch Enhances Action Notification Functionality

By Tim Gray, TMCnet Web Editor

The team over at Voipswitch has recently redesigned the notifications functionality of its service in an effort to enhance various forms of actions and better respond to any number of possible events.

Voipswitch develops VoIP platform solutions for global telecommunications service providers, helping operators deliver secure, reliable services that are fully interoperable with other IP telephony standards and systems.

The new functionality redesign of its notifications will be used for new voicemail, incoming SMS, Instant Messaging messages, system information, low balance and DID payments, according to the company.

“In fact, some of them were already supported in our system but now, with introduction of this new architecture, we plan to integrate them all and enable users to manage it from one, uniform menu,” said Chris Oglaza CTO of Voiceserve.

The first form of notification has already been implemented with the new voicemail event. User can select different actions per callerID of the person who left the message and then associate it with different actions. Available actions at this moment are:
  • Notification via SMS
  • Notification via e-mail
  • E-mail with voicemail message as attachment in MP3 format
In addition a user can define different actions depending on time of the day and day of the week.

Voipswitch is a software platform allowing for rapid VoIP services roll-out. It contains all necessary elements required in successful implementation of various VoIP services.

According to the company, customers can generate revenue on range of services starting with wholesale voice and sms termination, through calling cards (phone to phone) and all types of callback (ANI, PIN, DID, SMS, Web), to the services offering full replacement of traditional phones, namely broadband phone calling, which enables users to benefit from 5 class services (voicemail, own phone numbers, additional features).

In turn, Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Service Providers (ITSP) can enhance their offer by adding soft phone/communicator with sip, instant messenger and other functionality, which includes group of phone services are callshops that are also fully supported by Voipswitch software.

As TMCnet recently reported, Voipswitch, a subsidiary of the London-based Voiceserve, was selected by Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC (News - Alert)) Unified Communications magazine as a recipient of its 2008 Product of the Year Award.

“Voipswitch has proven they are committed to quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace,” said Rich Tehrani TMC President and Editor-in-Chief of Unified Communications (News - Alert) magazine. “Unified Communications is pleased to grant a 2008 Product of the Year Award to their Voipswitch Solution.”
