New VoIP Management System enables fast anytime, anywhere, management of remote VoIP switches and gateways
EATONTOWN, NJ, July 5, 2006 - Quintum (News - Alert) Technologies, a leading innovator in VoIP technologies, announced today that they have been awarded the 2005 TMC Communications Solutions Product of the Year award for their new Remote Management Session Server.
Quintum’s Remote Management Session Server (RMSS) is designed to simplify the installation and management of remote Tenors for ISPs, service providers and network administrators. The RMSS provides a secure and centralized management interface within a Tenor network that allows newly installed Tenors to be registered, configured and managed remotely, even those behind NAT firewalls. The Remote Management Session Server minimizes customer service time and does not require assistance from the customer. The result is faster management, better utilization of customer service employees and improved customer satisfaction.
TMC editors were impressed with the Remote Management Session Server’s ability to make Tenor VoIP Switches and Gateways even easier to deploy and manage. The Tenors will automatically obtain an IP address and auto-register with the RMSS. The Tenor can then be managed remotely anywhere, anytime via telnet, FTP, or the Tenor Configuration Manager (GUI), which is included with Tenor products and can be utilized for simple configuration and managed via the RMSS. The Remote Management Session Server can register up to 5,000 remote Tenor Switches and can manage up to 100 Tenors simultaneously.
“We had a record number of entries for the Communications Solutions award this year,” said TMCnet Associate Editor Patrick Barnard, who headed up the awards selection committee responsible for judging the entries. “Because there were so many high quality products and services entered, the judging for this year’s awards was extremely challenging.”
“Each year Communications Solutions magazine bestows Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC President and Group Editor-in-Chief of Communications Solutions. “This year, more than 100 companies demonstrated to the editors of Communications Solutions that their products or services have gone the extra mile to help improve both the customer experience and the ROI for the companies that use them.”
“TMC’s recognition of this new product as an outstanding product of the year, is a testimonial to Quintum’s continuing efforts to not only simplify the deployment of VoIP networks,” said Chuck Rutledge, Vice President of Marketing for Quintum Technologies, “but to our focus on our customers' needs to offer outstanding customer service, whether it is a service provider looking to deploy VoIP on the customer edge or an enterprise's IT group deploying VoIP corporate-wide.”
