Comverse (News - Alert), a provider of enterprise class telecom solutions for CSPs, recently announced the launch of its new Evolved Communication Suite (ECS), designed to provide IMS standards-based solutions for Mobile VoIP, RCS and IP Messaging. The new suite allows communication service providers (CSPs) to integrate their existing voice and messaging services into the digital lifestyle of their subscribers. Comverse ECS is designed to function with multi-device/multi-platform clients and features WebRTC gateway and centralized H-Base storage.
In a release, Gani Nayak, senior vice president for systems and solutions at Comverse, said “To maintain their viability, CSPs must become digital lifestyle players -- a great marketing challenge, especially in today's industry where digital lifestyle enablement is dominated by Internet giants. Committed to our customers' success, the new suite enables CSPs to evolve their current communication package and include IP-based services that are becoming mainstream in today's world, while building a critical mass of users for these new services. In addition, it leverages information in social networks for effective marketing of new digital services.”
The ECS Core is capable of transforming SMS, MMS, voice calls and visual voicemail into a high-quality digital experience across any Internet-enabled device, using WebRTC to build a standard subscriber base for CSP (News - Alert) driven IP-based communication services. ECS Plus enhances the capability of ECS Core through new RCS 5.1 services, enabling such services through the client or new devices with GSMA (News - Alert)-accredited support for RCS services.
When combined with Comverse Share, Comverse ECS allows CSPs to consolidate information from social media networks to understand the digital behavior of subscribers on Internet-enabled devices. CSPs can then increase retail and marketing power, facilitating the adoption of RCS and future digital services.
Comverse ECS is available in various deployment models, including on-premises, virtualized and cloud-based SaaS (News - Alert).
