AltiGen (News - Alert) Communications, a provider of software-based unified communications and VoIP solutions, has recently been selected by Coastline Housing, a non-profit housing association, to deploy AltiGen's MaxACD for the Microsoft (News - Alert) Lync Server.
Coastline Housing owns over 3,800 homes which are located in the town of Cornwall in the United Kingdom. The housing group deployed both Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and AltiGen's MaxACD contact center solution for Lync with the help of Nexus Open Systems (News - Alert), a partner of AltiGen.
AltiGen's MaxACD Contact Center for Lync delivers several innovative VoIP solutions including skills-based routing, multi-level auto attendant, a flexible and adaptable IVR with CRM integration capabilities, call recording and monitoring, as well as reporting.
By integrating with Microsoft Lync, the contact center provides a compelling communications solution either on premise or delivered via the cloud, according to company officials.
"Nexus Open Systems is an ideal company to partner with," said Paul Fullman, AltiGen's VP of Sales for the EMEA region, in a statement. "Their experience in delivering integrated voice and data networks makes Nexus Open Systems a natural choice for our customers wishing to deploy Microsoft Lync and AltiGen MaxACD contact center solutions."
Nexus’ network and technology solutions are designed to increase productivity, reduce costs and increase responsiveness and flexibility in organizations.
"As a long time Microsoft business partner with extensive networking expertise, Microsoft Lync was an obvious choice to add to our portfolio in order to meet our customers' evolving communications requirements,” said Mike Nicholas, operations director at Nexus Open Systems.
“Because AltiGen's MaxACD perfectly complements Microsoft Lync it delivers real value for our customers,” Nicholas added. “A case in point is Coastline Housing, which needed a flexible communications solution for both its staff and call center agents. Microsoft Lync and AltiGen MaxACD was the perfect solution for Coastline."
In a related industry development, Teo, a provider of unified communications and VoIP solutions, has launched its new Teo UC Mini Server designed specifically with small businesses in mind. Similar to the Teo enterprise platform, the new server will offer the same features but at a much lower cost, allowing small businesses to gain access to enterprise-grade UC capabilities with as little as seven users.
