The improved quality and lower costs associated with voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) has a number of companies and residential users exploring the potential in VoIP solutions. In fact, this approach to communications has gained enough traction to make VoIP the dominate technology in the telecommunications market overall.
This assumption was featured in a recent Teleappliant news
piece, suggesting that businesses throughout the country are not only aware of the potential in VoIP, but they have even been warned that VoIP solutions will increasingly dominate in the not so distant future.
In the U.K., VoIP technology has slowly been replacing the public telephone system for decades, according to Andy Abramson (News - Alert), author of VoIPWatch, an industry blog site. He suggests VoIP solutions are taking over the industry, from the carrier perspective in terms of solutions, and the consumer perceptive, in terms of demand.
Abramson shared that VoIP is growing, continuing to emerge as the
mainstream mode for voice communications. He expects to see both VoIP solutions and video communications to continue to grow. To keep up with the trend, firms may have to invest in the latest, high quality VoIP solutions in order to revamp their telephony setup so they can immediately begin enjoying the benefits.
The growth in opportunities in the VoIP solutions space was supported by the news released by Tariff Consultancy earlier this week. The company announced the availability of a new report suggesting the cost of connecting to superfast broadband links will decrease by 60 percent between now and 2016.
In other VoIP solutions news, TMCnet recently reported that 4G wireless broadband services provider, Clearwire (News - Alert) Corporation, has announced a four-year hosted software licensing agreement with Alianza, a provider of cloud-based VoIP solutions. With this new agreement, Alianza (News - Alert) will manage Clearwire’s voice over 4G products and services.
"We are excited to be a part of Clearwire's strategy for delivering VoIP services bundled with 4G wireless broadband to customers across the United States," said Brian Beutler (News - Alert), chief executive officer, Alianza, in a statement. "This is a key agreement for Alianza, and we are looking forward to providing Clearwire with the highest quality and most reliable voice services available."
In its own right, Teo offers a full line of VoIP solutions designed to meet the
changing needs of today’s business. The company offers phones, racks and ISDN T1 solutions to enable even the most technology-challenged organization the ability to embrace the benefits of VoIP technology.
