Most people involved with provisioning or deploying VoIP services knows that reliable Quality of Service (QoS) is essential. But there remains widespread confusion about what, exactly, QoS is and how it can be achieved.
Cutting through this fog is a session, titled “Demystifying QoS,” to be held at Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO West (San Diego, Oct. 10-13). Among the presenters of the session is Randy Garrett, Senior Systems Engineer at Kentrox.
Garrett and his co-presenters will explain how currently available QoS solutions fit together, and where gaps might be encountered. Some of the topics that will be covered include call admission control, provisioning, bandwidth allocation, route control, advanced queuing mechanisms and MOS monitoring.
The session is designed to help enterprises and service providers become informed about QoS so they can choose best-of-breed solutions to fit their specific needs.
Show attendees interested in learning more can visit Kentrox’s (News - Alert) booth, #430. Even more information about QoS is available on Kentrox’s TMCnet.com channel, VoIP Quality of Service.
