Voip-Pal.Com Announces Beta Testing of its Upgraded VoIP Calling Service

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Voip-Pal.Com, a broadband VoIP telecom company offering local and long distance VoIP services to consumers and business owners, has launched beta testing of PointsPhone.com website.

The company plans to launch the revamped and upgraded VoIP calling service publically within the next few weeks.

Earlier in August, Voip-Pal announced that it launched the upgraded VoIP calling service to include a new integrated PointsPhone website within the next few weeks. Voip-Pal plans to integrate the currently active MyPointsPhone site under the new PointsPhone website.

"The launch of the PointsPhone.com beta site marks the first major step in our plan to relaunch operations," said Dennis Chang, president of Voip-Pal, in a statement. "This site is fully functional and users can browse or register and start making low cost calls right away.”

As part of this upgrade, Voip-Pal has also moved all of its operations to a North American Cloud Server. All of its mobile apps for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry (News - Alert), Windows and Symbian as well as its anti-virus PointsPhoneGuard are currently undergoing testing on the new Cloud Server.

Voip-Pal offers a free trial registration so users can test the services. For a free trial registration, users may visit http://www.pointsphone.com.

“We are very much looking forward to completing the tests and publically launching a final upgraded version of the PointsPhone.com website in the very near future,” Chang added. “This is a very exciting time for Voip-Pal and our loyal shareholders as we complete the backbone of our revenue model."

In related industry news, VoIP Supply, North America’s leading supplier of VoIP equipment and complete solutions, announced it has revamped the SpectraLink store and device offerings with a re- certification from Polycom as a Certified Channel Partner (News - Alert) for the line.

SpectraLink phones offer a wireless solution to industries needing a mobile workforce to maintain operational efficiency and better serve customers. There are a variety of SpectraLink handsets to choose from to suit entry level business grade to high-frequency usage.
