A U.K.-based provider of enabling technology for the communications market today announced that it's renewed a partnership with Interact Incorporated, a voice and data solutions enabler, to enhance Interact’s so-called “SPOT” solution, a Prosody-integrated VoiceXML (News - Alert)/CCXML-based offering.
Officials at both companies say that together, their offerings provide carriers and enterprises with a robust, cost-effective and advanced way to improve VoiceXML performance for better SMS, audio conferencing, IVR and outbound dialling functions.
According to Chris Gravett, sales and marketing director at Aculab (News - Alert), the combination of SPOT and Prosody X provides platform and solution providers with zero performance limitations and a distinct advantage compared to proprietary APIs.
“We are excited by the partnership with Interact, which means that we are able to offer our customers what we firmly believe is the most scalable, high performance VoiceXML/CCXML solution available today,” Gravett said.
Aculab’s Prosody product line provides VoIP and PSTN solution developers with call control signalling, digital network connectivity and advance media processing capabilities.
New VoiceXML enhancements for SPOT version 6.12 include a consultation transfer capability and a unique session ID for CCXML as well as the ability to query active session IDs in the event of failover.
According to Greg Gissler, founder, vice president and CTO of Interact, in today’s economy, the need for organizations to have efficient and advanced solutions that are cost effective is vital.
“Together, both Interact and Aculab’s long term proven track records in the industry ensure our customers receive world class products and unparalleled support services, enabling them to bring new and innovative solutions to market in a timely manner,” Gissler said.
