Converged Access announced Dr. Michael Hluchyj of Sonus Networks and Robert Myers of Chantry Networks as the first ever members of its new technology advisory board in an effort to develop new solutions that can make voice, data and video applications perform optimally over one converged network.

Robert Myers is CTO and co-founder of Chantry Networks. With more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, he has extensive experience in launching new businesses, managing merger-and-acquisition activities, and developing OEM relationships.

 

Mike Hluchyj is founder and Chief Technology Officer of Sonus Networks.  Before founding Sonus in 1997, he was vice president and chief technology officer at Summa Four (acquired by Cisco), a leading supplier of intelligent, programmable switches for use in carrier networks. Prior to this, Dr. Hluchyj was director of networking research at Motorola Codex and on the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories. He is a Fellow of the IEEE. Dr. Hluchyj is widely published on subjects such as cell relay switching and traffic management in integrated networks and is a frequent speaker at industry events. He has been awarded 28 U.S. patents. Dr. Hluchyj received his BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
