By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor

Global IP Solutions, a provider of IP multimedia processing solutions, today announced that the company’s Senior Director of Software Development, Niklas Enbom, will discuss how mobile devices and PCs will affect the future of IP communications at IPCentral @ CeBIT (News - Alert) and WIRELESSWorld @ CeBIT held in Hannover, Germany.
Taking place March 3-8, 2009, the event will arm industry experts, service providers and operators with the information they need to stay ahead of the competition and survive the economic recession.
Multiple presentations will be held that address the future of IP communications with a
concentrated focus on real-time voice and video quality for conferencing and collaboration.
On Thursday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. interested parties can learn more about the benefits of video conferencing solutions by attending, “Video Conferencing & The Technologies Enabling Enterprises to be Camera Ready.” After this presentation, attendees can join “The Future of Web Conferencing & Collaboration” held at 3:15 p.m.
GIPS recently released a new survey conducted by the global advisory and consulting firm Ovum, that revealed U.S. mobile operators and equipment vendors are encouraging the shift toward real-time video.
“Most US mobile operators are running what is classified as a 3G network or 3.5G or equivalent network, able to ensure high quality VOIP and video-based services.  Now, with 4G and sophisticated Imax networks beginning to emerge, there are fewer barriers to offering quality, real-time video and VoIP on mobile phones and networks,” said Emerick Woods, Global IP Solutions’ (News - Alert) CEO.
“This study confirms Global IP Solutions’ belief in the accelerating movement toward mobile video adoption and validates the activities from mobile operators and device manufacturers in making it a reality in the next few years,” added Woods.
To learn more about how video is transforming mobile devices and its impact on the IP communications market, attendees are encouraged to attend the “Mobile VoIP Device Requirements” presentation held on Friday, March 6th at 11:45 a.m. In addition, attendees can gain insight into the role of VoIP on mobile devices and how to develop a quality mobile application on the iPhone (News - Alert) at “VoIP’s Voyage to Mobile,” held at 1:45 p.m.

Earlier this month, GIPS announced plans to demonstrate the power and growing adoption of mobile IP communications with its customers. The demonstrations included a real-time mobile video application from Movial, a provider of unified communications (UC) products, allowing users to conduct high-quality mobile video calls.

Global IP Solutions provides the world’s most widely-deployed technology products for processing real-time voice and video over IP communication.
