Momentum is something discussed in sports all the time. A shot made quickly turns to two, and before you know it, the opponent is left in the wake. In cloud communications, the same applies. One innovation quickly grows to three as the client roster receives a boost as a result, and round and round the carousel goes with big mo’ carrying the day.

While there are a plethora of cloud-based telephony offerings available, it is those like Phone.com (News - Alert) riding high on the wave of momentum in the early stages of 2017. 2016 served as a strong year across verticals, with new partners and clients like StructuredWeb, Liftmaster and The City of Newark.  In addition to an expanding clientele, the product suite augmented with a new and improved API to aid in iOS and Android (News - Alert) apps, as well as Web collaboration, video conferencing, call presence and the phone system in general.

“All of the products we added directly address the needs of our customers and the evolving market demands,” said Phone.com CTO/EVP Alon Cohen (News - Alert). “Especially when it comes to our latest APIs, we’re providing access to our core systems in such a way that a customer can easily build the phone system they need rather than settling for the system as it is built. APIs are the future of business integration and we are building out a full set for developers to use integrating our services with their systems.”

A product of its 2016 success is industry recognition that includes the 2016 TMCnet Customer Experience Award, 2016 Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Product of the Year Award and, for a fifth straight year, it was named to the Inc. 5000.

“Awards are great, but we can’t let them get in the way of our primary focus: our customers,” said Rabban. “We invest in infrastructure and customer support not for the recognition, but to ensure our customers get the service they deserve. We will continue to build in 2017, continuing our accelerated growth.”

Building on the momentum of 2016, this February Phone.com will be well represented at the The Communications and Business Transformation event of the year, ITEXPO. VoIP pioneer Alon Cohen will be participating in the panel discussion, “Bringing Telecom Innovations to Market Faster with APIs,” and Joel Maloff (News - Alert) Senior Vice President at Phone.com and industry veteran, is moderating several others.

Phone.com exists on the edge of innovation, opening the door of opportunity for a future where creativity is the only limit to possibility.

I’ll see you there…and in Fort Lauderdale in a few weeks!
