The technology industry just saw one of the biggest annual events in Austin, Texas. SXSW (News - Alert) brought together film, music and interactive from March 7-11. SXSW brings together technology leaders and thinkers for a few days of what’s going on in tech, and virtual office provider Phone (News - Alert).com participated at this year’s conference with its venture capital firm, ffVC.

This year’s topics at SXSW included technical sessions about Web and interface design, wireless innovation and business operations to more philosophical discussions about online marketing, social networks and our relationship to new technologies. The majority of daytime programming at SXSW Interactive consisted of panel, dual or solo presentations.

Phone.com’s (News - Alert) participation was with a company showcase with twenty other sister companies within ffVC. The event, known as ffMASSIVE, included Phone.com CEO Ari Rabban (News - Alert) and CTO, Alon Cohen, all whom networked, participated in panels and brought Phone.com’s name out to the masses at the Austin event.

Included as part of SXSW is Startup Village, which brings together the startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and cutting-edge digital tastemakers within the SXSW Interactive Festival. SXSW Startup Village continues to consolidate much of what already happens at SXSW Interactive into one location. Current and future entrepreneurs will benefit from learning and networking with investors, technology trailblazers, media representatives, as well as digital creatives.

Phone.com is a provider of cloud based Web, mobile and Internet communications services and applications for businesses and consumers. Following their participation in SXSW, the company announced completion of a $2 million funding round led by ff Venture Capital with participation from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s Edison Innovation Venture Capital Growth Fund.
